Wildlife Management

In some cases it is necessary to intervene with wild animal populations in order to control numbers or prevent damage. Such damage includes damage to public health or safety, economic damage or damage to sensitive plans or animals. Measure used to control animals range from excluding or scaring through to killing.

The control of wild animals is covered under wildlife legislation. This requires an approved management plan to be followed. At Bureau Waardenburg, we have been involved with the preparation of wildlife management plans for several local governments. This has included:

  • animal inventories; 
  • (field) research into the effectivness of management measures;
  • preparation of management plans;
  • evalution of the undertaken management.
