Small mammal surveys
In order to investigate the presence of small mammals around the Dutch city of Breda, we undertook surveys in various habitats in the area. The research focused on three 'green zone' areas of the city, namely: de Weerijs; Betlehemloop; and Molenleij.
The aim of the 'green zones' is to provide a route for nature into the city from the surrounding rural areas. The small mammal surveys formed part of the assessment of the species using these areas. The results provide essential information in the evaluation and management of the areas.
