Monitoring road traffic victims

In the Netherlands it is estimated that several million animals fall victim to road traffic accidents each year.

Research into road traffic accidents with wildlife provides information about vulnerable species and risk areas. Studies often have to be carried out over a number of years and in a number of areas. Since 1990, Bureau Waardenburg has been involved in the setting up and supervision of large-scale monitoring studies into wildlife road victims. This monitoring follows strict protocols to ensure the quality of research as well as the safety of people in the field.
