Environmental and wildlife legislation
When should environmental and wildlife legislations need to be considered?
Nature protection legislations and regulations might have to be considered during the planning stage. We provide advice and can carry out inspections at a number of levels, such as with our quick scans.
Environmental and wildlife legislation / Water Framework Directive
An inspection is often needed to determine whether plans conform to environmental and wildlife legislations and also to assess any areas of potential conflict. The inspection can identify whether licences or authorisation is necessary for the proposed work. Measures might be necessary to avoid or mitigate for adverse effects on the environment and wildlife.
Exploratory inspection / quick scan
The first step often involves an initial exploratory inspection, or quick scan. The quick scan has been specifically designed to provide a quick insight into the areas of potential conflict of a project.
