Fish stock management
A sustainable fish stock management is an important aspect both for natural values and for recreational and commercial fishing. For this purpose, a fish stock management plan can be devised. Such management plans are obligatory for national waters in Holland and can include the relocation of several fish species (a form of active biological management). In the long term, the water management and the landscape situation are essential factors in managing the fish stock successfully. Bureau Waardenburg is frequently asked to draw up fish stock management plans. In these plans all different functions of the fish fauna are taken into consideration. |
