Statistical analyses
A substantial part of the consultancy work done by Bureau Waardenburg is based on research carried out by the bureau itself. This includes research in the fields of monitoring, surveying, nature development, mapping of vegetation and ecotoxicology. We conduct research, for example, into the effects of a project for nature development or of the construction of a highway, or into the trend in bird numbers in a given area. Conclusions from these studies are substantiated statistically using general and more specialized methods of analysis, such as generalized linear models (GLM), multilevel analyses (IRREML), and trend analyses (GAM). Analysis are carried out in the latest version ofGenstat. Statistical back-up is provided through cooperation with Biometris, the statistical institution related to Wageningen University. |
