Strategy, planning & design
Nature conservation and restoration
Bureau Waardenburg is actively involved with plans for nature restoration. We develop multidisciplinary regional strategies, as well as ready-to use landscape designs. Our specialists are also consulted during the realisation of nature restoration activities. |

Regional plans Bureau Waardenburg is actively involved in the development of regional environmental strategies and integral land use plans, at different scale-levels. The projects are carried out in close cooperation with governments, nature conservation agencies, water management authorities and local stakeholders. These strategies and plans might be concerned with the implementation of existing policy in a specific area, or they can be used to explore new possibilities for development or combination of (new) functions in the area. In all cases we aim to offer well-argumented ecological advice, carefully balancing it against other interests. We pride ourselves in our ability to present our conclusion attractively and clearly.[ terug naar boven ]

Species protection plans Some species (mainly animal, but also some plant species) receive extra attention in nature conservation policies, because they are rare or the flagship species for a specific ecosystem. Bureau Waardenburg has expert knowledge of many species and their particular needs concerning their environment. In species protection plans, we determine which landscape design and conservation measures are necessary to secure the long-term survival of a species or to expand the habitat of a certain species.[ terug naar boven ]

Presentation High quality work is accompanied by clear presentation. This is achieved by producing good quality images. These include photographs, sketched restoration plans, digitized cartography and digital 3D images.
